The European Parliament urged to stop the “Nord stream-2”

The European Parliament called on the EU countries to reduce their dependence on Russian energy resources and stop the implementation of the “Nord stream-2” project, according to the EP resolution following the debate on Russia at the plenary session.

“The European Parliament insists that the EU should reduce its energy dependence on Russia and calls on the EU institutions and member states to stop the completion of the “Nord stream-2″ pipeline,” the document says. The resolutions of the European Parliament on international issues are declarative, not binding. However, other institutions of the European Union should listen to the opinion of the deputies.
