The UK will leave the bloc on January 31.
The European Union has finally approved Britain’s exit from the bloc, which it has been part of for almost half a century.
The European Parliament approved the “divorce” agreement reached by the parties last year by 621 votes in favor and 49 against.
The British Parliament approved it last week.
Britain’s EU membership will officially end on Friday evening.
This will be followed by a transition period until the end of the year, during which new negotiations will take place on various aspects of the new relationship between the parties.
