The EC will study the decision of the German regulator on “Nord stream-2”

The European Commission has not yet received the decision of the German regulator on the “Nord stream-2”, it did not participate in its adoption, a representative of the EC press service told.

Earlier on Friday, the German Federal Grid Agency (BNA) reported that it rejected the request of “Nord Stream-2” operator Nord Stream 2 AG to exempt the pipeline from the requirements of the updated EU Gas Directive. Now it falls under the condition of separating the supplier and operator on the EU segment of the pipeline, as well as under the requirements of price regulation and providing access to it to a third party.
