The democratic Senator assessed Trump’s chances of postponing the election

The head of the White House, Donald Trump, will not be able to postpone the presidential election, Democratic Senator from New Mexico Tom Udall is sure.

“There is no chance that President Trump will be able to postpone the election. We must not allow him to distract us from his incompetence in connection with COVID-19,” the Senator said in social networks.

According to the American politician, Trump’s proposal is an attack on democratic processes. Udall asked members of Congress and the US administration to comment on this issue.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump raised the issue of postponing the presidential election. According to the American leader, voting by mail because of the coronavirus will lead to the fact that the 2020 elections will become “the most unreliable and dishonest in history,” and this is “a great shame for the United States.”
