The Czech Republic imposes curfew

The country’s authorities have tightened the rules due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Czech government is imposing a curfew and restricting shops on Sundays as part of tougher measures taken on Monday to contain the coronavirus’s spread.

The curfew will be in effect from October 28 to November 3 and will last from 9 pm to 5 am every day, health Minister Roman Primula said after a government meeting. Exceptions include trips for work, as well as family visits.

Retail stores still operating under current restrictions must also close by 8 pm and on Sundays, except gas stations and pharmacies.
