The court refused to allow Roger Stone to conduct a new trial

Last year, the 67-year-old Stone was found guilty of making false statements to Congress and manipulating witnesses.

The Federal court rejected Roger stone’s request for a new trial. Recall that last fall, the 67-year-old Stone was found guilty of giving false testimony to Congress and manipulating witnesses.

Stone tried to get a new trial because the Chairwoman of the jury had provided incorrect information during jury selection.

The President has repeatedly criticized the stone trial, with which he has a long-standing friendship. The case was initiated as a result of an investigation into Russian interference in the election, which was led by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.

The jury found that Stone gave false information to Congress about his conversations with members of the Trump campaign staff regarding attempts to obtain defamatory information about Hillary Clinton from WikiLeaks.
