Seoul mayor Park Won-soon, who was found dead on Thursday, could have committed suicide, a South Korean police official said.

The body of a senior official was found in a Park Pugaksan in the center of Seoul. The search for the mayor lasted seven hours, involving dogs, special drones, and several hundred police officers.
The media linked the mayor’s death to possible accusations of sexual harassment. Former subordinates of the mayor filed a complaint to the police. According to these data, she has endured harassment from Park Won-soon since 2017.
Earlier, the media reported that the body of Park Won-sun was found, but the South Korean police denied this information.
Police began searching for Park Won-soon after his daughter reported him missing. According to her, the man “left the house four or five hours ago, leaving a note that looks like a will.”
