The Cannes film festival, scheduled for May 12-23, will not take place on these dates due to the coronavirus situation, according to a message on the festival’s official Twitter account.

“Due to the health crisis and in the face of the developing situation, the 73rd Cannes film festival cannot be held on the scheduled dates: from 12 to 23 May, ” the report said.

The organizers said that they are considering several options for further actions. “The main one is a simple transfer of the festival to the end of June-beginning of July,” they noted .
