The candidate for the post of us attorney General intends to protect the elections from foreign interference

Protecting the US election from foreign interference will be one of William Barr’s priorities if he is appointed to the post of the US attorney General. This is stated in the text of the introductory speech of Barr, which he intends to say on Tuesday at the hearing on the approval of his candidacy in the Senate of the US Congress.

“If my candidacy is approved, my priority will be to protect fair elections. I will develop the work already done by the special Prosecutor Robert Mueller and the current leadership of the Ministry of justice, and will make sure that all the resources we have were used against foreign citizens who violate the law, interfering in our elections,” – said in the text of his speech. “I am convinced that our country must respond to any foreign interference with the most decisive measures, and we must work with partners at the level of state authorities to ensure full protection of the electoral infrastructure,” – the document distributed by a number of media.

In the text of the introductory speech also stated that Barr does not intend to interfere with spectracolor Robert Mueller at the end of the investigation attributed to Russia’s intervention in the US presidential election in 2016.
