The Canadian national team lost dry to the Latvians at the World Ice Hockey Championship

The Latvian team at the World Championship, which is being held in Riga, defeated the Canadian national ice hockey team.

The Group B meeting ended with a score of 2:0 (1:0, 1:0, 0:0) in favor of the tournament hosts. The goals were scored by Miks Indrasis (20th minute) and Oskars Batna (29). Latvian goalkeeper Matiss Kivlenieks kept his goal intact. The Latvian national team will play against Kazakhstan on Saturday; the Canadians will meet with the Americans a day later.
