The author of the hit “I Like to Move It” has died at the age of 49

American-Colombian DJ, producer, and musician Erick Morillo, best known for the hit “I Like to Move It,” has died at the age of 49, Free News reports, citing law enforcement sources.

According to sources, the body of the musician was found on Tuesday morning in the city of Miami Beach (Florida). The circumstances of his death are currently being investigated.
As Free News notes, a few weeks ago, Morillo was detained in Miami on charges of sexual assault.

Morillo is the author of numerous singles and remixes. He is best known for the famous dance hit “I Like to Move It,” released and performed with vocalist Mad Stuntman (real name Mark Quoshi) as part of the project “Reel 2 Real,” which existed in 1992-1997.
