The acrobat walked on a cable over the crater of an active volcano

Famous acrobat Nik Wallenda made an extreme walk over the crater of the active volcano Masaya in Nicaragua. The length of the metal cable was 550 meters. Nick went through it in 31 minutes.

Wallenda performed the stunt with insurance. He also had to wear a respirator and safety glasses. Poisonous gases rise above a crater of fiery magma. Even the cable had to be pulled just before the performance to avoid being corroded by toxic fumes.

A few meters from the opposite edge, Wallenda got rid of his glasses and respirator and completed the trick with a run.

Nick is a member of the seventh generation of the Wallenda circus dynasty. He walked over Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon.
