Tesla has lost a third of its capitalization since the beginning of February

The capitalization of the American automaker Tesla for February-March fell by almost a third amid a decline in the value of shares, follows from the trading data.

In early January, the capitalization of Tesla rose above $ 800 billion for the first time. At the end of the same month, the price of the company’s shares updated the historical record, rising above $ 900, the capitalization of Tesla then approached $ 850 billion.

According to the results of Monday’s trading, the company’s securities fell by 5.84%, to $ 563, the capitalization thus amounts to almost $ 540.4 billion, which is almost 36% less than the maximum level in January.

Amid the rise in the price of Tesla shares, Elon Musk, who owns shares in SpaceX and Tesla, rose to first place in the list of the richest people in the world in early January, beating Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI), calculated by the Bloomberg agency. Musk’s fortune later rose above $ 200 billion.

Bezos returned to the top spot on the BBI list in February, displacing Musk in second place. According to the trading results on Monday, Bezos ‘ fortune is $ 174 billion; his fortune fell by $ 2.6 billion during the day. Musk’s wealth fell by $ 7.9 billion on the day, to $ 149 billion.

Thus, Musk’s wealth fell by almost a quarter on January 10.
