Tesla electric cars can now be bought with Bitcoin

Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that from today it is possible to buy the company’s electric vehicles in a new way.

We are talking about the ability to pay for a purchase using the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Tesla will accept payments thanks to open-source software. However, Bitcoin will not be converted to regular currency.

To complete the transaction, you will have to enter the address and amount, or simply scan the QR code. At the current rate for $1, you can buy 0.000018 bitcoin. Hence, the base equipment of the Tesla Model X costs 1.46 BTC. By the way, payment with cryptocurrency is available only in the United States so far. Whether it will appear in other regions is unknown.

Recall that recently, renderings of the Tesla Model Pi smartphone appeared on the network, which supports the Starlink Internet and can mine Marscoin.
