Tesla Cybertruck’s steel body can be heated to change the color of the car

After the announcement of Tesla Cybertruck, information appeared on the network that the novelty will go on sale only in the original stainless steel color. As it turned out now, you can change the color of the car yourself and, moreover, in a very unusual way.

One Twitter user suggested that if the body of the car is made of steel, then in theory its color can be changed by heating the metal. Elon Musk confirmed this information. Thus, anyone can “paint with fire” their car in gold or, for example, light green, heating the body to 204 or 343 degrees, respectively, and then cooling it down.

By the way, this is a great option for those who at one time purchased the Mask’s flamethrower and plans to buy a track in the future. True, the question remains how safe it is and whether Tesla will officially allow this to be done with the car.

Recall that Tesla Cybertruck was announced in November 2019. The car received three complete sets with a price tag of $ 40,000. The top model boasts an acceleration from 0 to 100 km in 2.9 seconds and a power reserve of up to 800 km.
