Taylor Swift Supports #EqualityAct Protecting LGBT Rights

Popular American singer Taylor Swift decided to speak out about the new law on equality, which was adopted in the United States. It will create special federal protections for LGBT Americans against discrimination.

The 31-year-old singer published a post on her personal blog on social networks, which she dedicated to the law on equality. The star noted that she was anxious about the adoption of this bill.

Taylor Swift is a longtime proponent of equality. She actively advocates for the rights of LGBT communities and even publicly denounced the position of former American President Donald Trump. “Until recently, I did not understand that I could speak for a community of which I am not a part,” the singer noted earlier.

Moreover, Taylor Swift recently released a video for the song You Need To Calm Down, which ended with a call to sign a petition supporting equality law.

The performer herself does not belong to any communities. She is in a relationship with British actor Joe Alvin.
