Sylvester Stallone has announced the premiere of the director’s cut of “Rocky 4”

One of the most famous Hollywood retirees, Sylvester Stallone, has named the release date for the director’s cut of Rocky IV. The actor posted a poster for the movie on Instagram, stating that it will be released on November 11, 2021.

The movie, filmed 36 years ago, tells the epic story of Rocky Balboa’s revenge for the death of a friend in the ring. Apollo Creed faced Soviet boxer Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren, and fatally miscalculated. For revenge, Balboa went to Moscow to slay Drago on his land. The end is a little predictable, Rocky won, the Soviet audience in the hall fell in love with America, Ivan with a broken nose, the Politburo is furious.

Stallone promised to reveal the characters in the director’s cut, tell their backstories, seriously work on editing and add a deleted scene of the fight between Rocky and Ivan Drago.

We add the extended version was supposed to be released last year, as a presentation to fans for the 35th anniversary of the fourth part of “Rocky”. The pandemic hacked these plans, postponing the premiere by almost a year.
