Spotify app for Wear OS now lets you download music

A couple of weeks ago, we wrote that Spotify is preparing a major update to its proprietary Wear OS application, and now, finally, smartwatch owners have begun to receive it.

The update allows users to download Spotify content to Wear OS devices. You don’t need to do this from your smartphone, you can start downloading directly from your smartwatch. Moreover, we are talking not only about music, but also podcasts (they are not yet available in our region).

This opportunity will definitely appeal to those who go in for sports, because now during training you do not have to take a smartphone with you. Simply put on your watch, download music to it and connect wireless headphones. The gg editors have already checked this. Everything works without problems. Naturally, the feature is only available to users with a Spotify Premium subscription.

The update is spreading in waves, so everyone may not have it right away.
