FLORIDA – Today, June 25, a private company Space X using a heavy launch vehicle Falcon Heavy brings into space 24 satellite under the program of the US defense Ministry Space Test Program-2.
The launch took place from the site LC-39A Kennedy Space center, located on the island of Merritt in Florida.
This is the first night launch of the world’s most powerful rocket. Among the cargoes with a total weight of 3.7 tons will be equipment for three NASA missions, the purpose of which is to improve the design and operation of future spacecraft.
The rocket will put into orbit an atomic clock for extremely accurate navigation in space, a test probe for testing “green” fuel (GPIM), devices for studying space weather.
This is the first use of Pentagon heavy rocket of Elon Musk and the first to be re-used both side of the accelerator B1052.2 and the B1053.2. They flew the Falcon Heavy in April.
For the first time in the history of the Space X, the engine of the second stage includes four times for conclusion of the spacecraft on three different starting orbits, and then make the full maneuver burn to reduce the probability of clogging of the fuel near-earth space. The mission will last more than six hours.
