Sony showed an unannounced smartphone with a sub-screen front camera in an advertisement for new headphones

Last week, Sony unveiled the flagship TWS headphones WF-1000XM4, in honor of which they released several commercials at once. But they show not only headphones.

Each of the promotional videos shows a mysterious smartphone that we have not seen before. On the back, it looks like a Sony Xperia 1 III, but the most interesting thing is on the front – the sub-screen front camera.

The gadget is shown in different scenarios: with the help of it they listen to music, call up on video with their daughter and watch a movie. But everywhere the front camera is nowhere to be seen.

Perhaps this is just a gimmick when they just decided to remove the cutout for more attractive advertising. Or maybe we are seeing the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 IV, which will be the first Sony smartphone with a sub-screen camera.
