Sony has transferred all its main films to 2021

Sony Pictures transferred many of its projects to next year, the court announced this on Monday March 30th. These projects include: “Morbius,” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, “Uncharted” and “Peter Rabbit 2”.

“Morbius” with Jared Leto starring postponed from July 31, 2020 to March 19, 2021. “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” Jason Reitman postponed from July 10, 2020 to March 5, 2021. Movie adaptation of the “Uncharted” video game with Tom Holland starring postponed from March 5, 2021 year on October 8, 2021 and “Peter Rabbit 2: Escape” postponed from August 7, 2020 to January 15, 2021. Also, the release of the joint project Sony and Marvel without a name was postponed from October 8, 2021 for an indefinite period. Moreover for an indefinite period was the drama of Tom Hanks “Greyhound” telling about the Second World War.

Thus, virtually all of Sony’s major films were carried over to 2021, except for Kevin Hart’s “Fatherhood” drama, which was moved from January 15, 2021 to October 23, 2020.

Such a change in the release schedule is the largest in comparison with all the major studios. Most likely this has been affected by the closure of a large number of movie theaters in North America recently due to the spread of coronavirus in the United States.
