SolarWinds said that the hacker attack on it began in January 2019

According to the company’s head, then the hackers conducted “very early intelligence.”

The head of SolarWinds said that hackers who penetrated his software company were on its network back in January 2019.

This is several months earlier than previously known.

SolarWinds previously traced the origin of the hacking attack to the fall of 2019, but Sudhakar Ramakrishna said the company now believes the hackers conducted “very early intelligence” back in January of that year.

He announced a question and answer session hosted by the RSA conference.

The hacking attack on SolarWinds, which US officials have linked to Russia, is one of several major hacks that have forced the Joe Biden administration to pay serious attention to cybersecurity issues.
