Rakuten Viber has announced a partnership with Snap, the developer of the Snapchat app.
Now Camera Kit, Creative Kit and Bitmoj tools will appear in the company’s proprietary messenger. Thanks to them, it will be possible to use augmented reality (AR) filters in video messages and photos. At launch, there will be 30 different animal masks, Viber characters, and more. By the end of the year, the company plans to add about 300 more new filters to the library.

In addition to proprietary options, third-party filters will also appear in the application. Some of the first partners will be WWF, FC Barcelona and the World Health Organization.
The new version of the application for iOS, as well as the beta version of Android with filters will be available from June 30 in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy , Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.
