Sony introduced the Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III smartphones back in mid-April, but they still haven’t made it to the shelves. And finally, the manufacturer announced pre-orders for its flagships in Europe.
The start of pre-orders was announced last week. But it turned out that it was a false start, and soon the pre-orders were canceled. Now there are new deadlines for European countries. For example, in Germany, the Sony Xperia 1 III will be available for pre-order from July 15, and shipments should begin on August 31. Here, they ask for 1,300 euros for a smartphone, but buyers will receive a pleasant bonus – a free pair of WH-1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones.
There will be no pre-order in the UK, the Xperia 1 III will be available for purchase from 19 August. Here the price tag is 1200 pounds sterling, a gift is also expected – the WH-1000XM3 headphones. There is no information on deliveries to other countries yet.
And now for the bad news: the Sony Xperia 5 III has been postponed until September. The phone will cost €1,000 and £900 in Germany and the UK, respectively, without any bonuses. At the same time, Norway is accepting pre-orders for the Xperia 1 III on July 5, and sales will begin on August 10 at a price of NOK 12,800 with a pair of headphones as a gift. But no mention of the Sony Xperia 5 III. The same is true in Denmark, where 1 III will cost 10,000 DKK.
It was originally planned that both models will go on sale on August 6th.
