Several dozen people gathered at the US Embassy in Yerevan

Dozens of people gathered in front of the US Embassy in Yerevan on Saturday evening to express gratitude for the statement of President Joe Biden, who recognized the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

Earlier, Biden officially recognized the mass killings of ethnic Armenians organized and committed in the early 20th century in the Ottoman Empire as genocide.

The participants held the flags of Armenia and the United States. Next to it was a car with the emblem of the political initiative “National Democratic Pole,” the backbone of which is the movement “Sasna Tsrer.” Members of this movement seized the building of the police patrol service in Yerevan in 2016. The “National Democratic Pole” initiative takes an anti-Russian stance and calls for building strategic allied relations with the United States.
