Senators asked Biden to impose sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”

According to the website of Congressman John Barrasso, a group of forty US senators has appealed to President Joe Biden to impose sanctions against the “Nord stream-2” project.

It is noted that the head of state was sent a letter in which senators criticized the policy of the US presidential administration due to the refusal to impose restrictive measures against companies involved in the construction of the gas pipeline.

Also, the authors of the letter expressed concern about the strengthening of Russia’s geopolitical influence. The senators also called the State Department report, which contained a list of organizations involved in the construction of the gas pipeline “absolutely inadequate.”
