SCG to launch 650hp supercar for public roads

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG), owned by American entrepreneur James Glickenhaus, has launched the road-going version of the 004C supercar for testing. Spy shots of the novelty were posted by MotorAuthority. The main rival of the novelty is called the Lamborghini Huracan

The car will be produced at an enterprise in Danbury (Connecticut). The plant is expected to produce 100 supercars a year. The first deliveries of cars to customers will begin in late 2021 or early 2022. Prices for the 004S start at $ 460,000.

The technical characteristics of the novelty are kept secret. MotorAuthority expects the car will be equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine. Now the same unit is installed on the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Engine power will be 650 horsepower. The motor will work in conjunction with a six-speed “mechanics”, optionally, customers will be offered a “robot” with two clutches.

The novelty will differ from the racing 004C in a less aggressive body kit. Downforce will be 600 kg at a speed of 300 km / h. The car will be based on a carbon chassis and a body, also made of composite materials. It is assumed that the supercar will receive a 1 + 2 landing formula, as, for example, the McLaren F1 coupe.

The company also plans to develop a two-door sports car in retro style. It is expected that such a machine will be named SCG006. The design of the novelty will resemble the Ferrari 250.
