San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs meet in Super Bowl

Many millions of Americans watched the main sporting event of the year.

American football teams San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs met in Miami on Sunday in the Super Bowl-a match for the National Football League title.

For the Kansas City team (12 wins, 4 losses in the main season), this is the first super bowl since 1970, when its star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was not yet born.

As for their San Francisco rivals, they are aiming for a record sixth Super Bowl victory. The team has not been a champion since 1995.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is hoping for a first Super Bowl win as a starting player. Before joining this team, he played in two winning New England Patriots squads.
Earlier, there were forecasts that more than 100 million Americans will watch the game that ends the 100th NFL season.

This time, the US national anthem is performed by singer Demi Lovato, and Shakira and Jennifer Lopez participate in the concert (at halftime).
