Samsung will unveil a new standard for 6G mobile networks

Samsung may soon introduce the sixth generation (6G) mobile network standard.

The company will hold “Unleashing the full power of 5G” on June 22 and stressed that in addition to new developments on 5G, they will also demonstrate their “leadership in the development of next-generation networks.”

Accordingly, the company plans to present not only developments related to 5G networks but also developments for 6G.

Samsung’s Advanced Communications Research Center began developing 6G networks in 2019.

In 2020, Samsung published the 6G: The Next Hyper-Connected Experience programming document, which outlines the fundamentals of next-generation networks.

6G will unite industrial and consumer smart devices, make interactive cellular television a reality. And satellite Internet will bring base stations into space: it will forever eliminate the need to use wires.
