Samsung will stop showing ads in branded apps

Samsung last year, with the release of the One UI 2.5 shell, began showing ads on its smartphones. Naturally, many users did not like this decision and it seems that the manufacturer heard them.

The company decided to remove ads in standard applications Phone, Weather, Music, Galaxy Apps, Bixby, Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, etc. This was announced by the president of the mobile division of Samsung Electronics Tae Moon Roh (TM Roh) during an internal meeting. Unfortunately, Tae Moon Ro did not disclose the exact timing of the ad removal. He only added that this will happen in future builds of programs.

As a reminder, Samsung is not the only company to display ads on smartphones. Xiaomi has been doing this for many years, however, it is unlikely to remove it from its devices.
