On July 29, Samsung has scheduled the launch of the flagship Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor with a Mini-LED panel. Meanwhile, online sources have published detailed specifications for this device.
It is reported that the new product will receive a 49-inch concave display with a resolution of 5120 × 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 32: 9. The radius of curvature is 1000R. The response time is supposedly 1 ms, the refresh rate is 240 Hz.
According to the available information, the Mini-LED backlight will provide 2048 zones of local dimming. We are talking about the VESA DisplayHDR 2000 specification: the peak brightness value will reach 2000 cd / m2. Contrast ratio – up to 1,000,000: 1. The panel will provide horizontal and vertical viewing angles up to 178 degrees.
Mentioned 10-bit color representation: the number of reproducible shades will exceed 1 billion. Coverage of color spaces DCI-P3, sRGB and Adobe RGB will be up to 95%, 125% and 92%, respectively.
The flagship monitor will, of course, receive adaptive sync capabilities. The set of connectors is rumored to include two DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces, an HDMI 2.1 connector and a USB 3.0 hub.
