Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be the first foldable smartphones on the market to get water resistance

Insider Max Weinbach said on Twitter that Samsung’s new foldable smartphones will boast one feature.

According to the source, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will receive IPX8 certified cases. Therefore, new items will not be afraid of water. The devices will withstand immersion to a depth of more than 1 meter for 30 minutes. By the way, these will be the first foldable smartphones with this feature. Prior to that, all such devices, due to design features, came out without protection from water.

Recall that the presentation of new products will take place on August 11. Galaxy Z Fold 3 is credited with two Super AMOLED screens with a diagonal of 6.23 and 7.55 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888/888+ or Exynos 2200 processors, up to 12 GB of RAM, a triple main camera and two front cameras. The “clamshell” Galaxy Z Flip 3, in turn, should receive a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 3300 mAh battery with 25 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging, as well as 6.9 and 1.9 inches AMOLED screens.
