Samsung Galaxy S2 got Android 11

Samsung Galaxy S2, aka Galaxy S II, celebrated its anniversary in February 2021. And now the model, announced 10 years ago, has received the Android 11 operating system.

The flagship of 2011 entered the market with TouchWiz UI firmware based on the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system and updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Naturally, the Android 11 release was not without enthusiasts.

The flagship of a decade ago, Samsung Galaxy S2, received the eleventh revision of the OS along with the LineageOS 18 software. A full-fledged version of the operating system was created for it.

The model is equipped with only 1 GB of RAM and a dual-core mobile processor Exynos 4210 with a frequency of up to 1.2 GHz. This, to put it mildly, is not enough for the normal operation of Android 11. The smartphone began to slow down even more after installing the Google software.
