Samsung Galaxy A42 5G: the company’s cheapest smartphone with support for the fifth generation network

Samsung continues to expand its portfolio of low-cost, fifth-generation network-enabled smartphones. The manufacturer announced the Galaxy A42 5G today.

The company showed the appearance and published only a few details about the new product. The device received a plastic case and design, like its older brothers Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G. Of the external differences, only a drop-shaped notch and a square camera with four modules can be distinguished.

Unfortunately, Samsung has not announced any characteristics of the smartphone. According to rumors, it will be a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a sub-screen scanner, a Snapdragon 690 chip, 4/6 GB of RAM, a 48MP main camera module, NFC for contactless payments, and a 4000-5000 mAh battery. We’ll find out for sure at the end of the year. It was then that the sales of the novelty are planned.

The Galaxy A42 5G will cost less than $500 (the Galaxy A51 5G price tag). Thus, the device will become the cheapest 5G smartphone from the company.
