Russian plane with medical aid arrives in the US on Wednesday afternoon

The plane made an intermediate landing in Canada.

A Russian plane headed for the United States with medical assistance on Wednesday made another intermediate landing at Canada’s Goose Bay airport in Labrador province, Russian media reported, citing monitoring data from Western aviation resources.

According to the Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov, the heavy military transport aircraft An-124 “Ruslan” should arrive in the United States around 13.30 local time.

“The estimated landing time in new York is about 13.30. The Russian An-124 air force is carrying humanitarian cargo through the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia. This issue was agreed by the presidents of our countries,” the Interfax news agency quoted the ambassador as saying.

According to the Ambassador, at the moment Russia has resources that it can share with other countries.

The diplomat added: “No one can rule out that we may also need help from abroad. We have friends who are ready to help us.”
