Russia and the United States agreed to work together border services in the Pacific

Russia and the United States have agreed on joint work of border control services in the North Pacific for 2020.

It is specified that the meeting of representatives of departments took place in the city of Anchorage in Alaska.

“During the meeting, a draft plan of coordinated actions of the FSB of Russia on the Eastern Arctic region and the 17th district of the US Coast guard for 2020 was developed,” the report said.

It is noted that the parties also discussed a possible joint training of coast guard ships in the area of the line of demarcation of Maritime spaces of Russia and the United States.

During the negotiations, the parties announced effective joint work, as a result of which it was possible to reduce poaching activity in the North Pacific.
