Russia and China will create an international scientific lunar station

Russia and China signed a memorandum on the creation of a station on the moon.

Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Rogozin and the head of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA) Zhang Kejian signed a memorandum on the creation of the International Scientific Lunar Station (INLS).

The State Corporation Roscosmos and CNSA <…> will promote cooperation on the creation of an open access missile system for all interested countries and international partners, with the goal of strengthening research cooperation and promoting the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes in the interests of all mankind.

The countries will jointly create a roadmap for the construction of an international research station on the moon, according to a statement posted on CNSA’s WeChat page.

So it is planned to jointly study the lunar surface and implement joint projects in the orbit of the moon.
