Royole launches flexible display gadget design suitcase

The Chinese company Royole Corporation, the creator of smartphones with flexible displays, has announced a very interesting novelty – a RoKit development kit on the Qualcomm hardware platform.

Various gadgets with flexible screens can be designed based on RoKit. The kit includes a flexible AMOLED display with a diagonal of 7.8 inches, a resolution of 1440 × 1920 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a brightness of 300 cd / m2. In addition, the kit includes a 7.8-inch flexible touchpad.

It is based on the Snapdragon 660 processor. This chip combines eight Kryo 260 processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, an Adreno 512 graphics controller, and an X12 LTE cellular modem with data transfer rates up to 600 Mbps.

The mainboard contains 3 GB of RAM, a flash module with a capacity of 32 GB, wireless adapters Wi-Fi 5 802.11b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5. Mentioned gyroscope and USB Type-C port.

The operating system is Android 10. All components of the kit are delivered in a small case. The kit is quite expensive – $960.
