Portuguese footballer Juventus Cristiano Ronaldo approached the Italian club’s management with a proposal to extend his contract until 2023, Tuttomercatoweb reports.
The current agreement with the footballer expires in June 2022. Ronaldo wants to continue playing at Juventus to concentrate on preparations for the 2022 World Cup, which will occur in November-December in Qatar.
According to the portal, the management of the Italian club has not yet responded to the player’s request.
Juventus is considering the sale of the Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt to unload the payroll and spend the freed up money on Ronaldo’s salary. According to Tuttomercatoweb, in the summer, Juventus will receive an offer of € 131 million for the transfer of the defender.
