The work on Batman by Matt Reeves is in full swing, which means that more and more shots from the set will appear on the Web. On the eve, foreign publications shared a generous portion of gloomy pictures.
There are really a lot of photos, and they clearly show a decent piece of the plot. It takes place at the funeral of Rupert Penry-Jones’ character: everyone around is dressed in mourning outfits, the ladies covered their faces with veils, and some even brought a wreath with them as a sign of sorrow and sympathy. Obviously, special attention is paid to Bruce Wayne performed by Robert Pattinson – he looks very dejected and brooding.

Filming is taking place in Liverpool, England, and the local convention center, St. George’s Hall, is successfully pretending to be the mayor’s office of Gotham. It is not yet clear who Penry-Jones is playing, but judging by the pomp with which the farewell ceremony is arranged, as well as the location in which it is held, it can be assumed that the actor will embody the image of the mayor of Gotham or the district attorney.
Even from the teaser for Batman, it became clear that a cold-blooded serial killer would appear in the city, who would only be happy to tease the Dark Knight, leaving messages for him in place of his horrific atrocities. The perpetrator will presumably be the Riddler (Paul Dano), and given his intolerance of corruption, it is obvious that it was he who could interrupt the life of the hero Penry-Jones.
There is a lot of work on the film ahead, which means that fans will be able to see something else interesting more than once. Batman is slated to premiere on March 3, 2022.
