Netizens have called a Melbourne woman a “potato queen” because of a recipe she shared on Instagram.
A woman revealed the secret of the perfect dish and jokingly warned subscribers that they “won’t be able to stop when they try it.” Her method is to add honey and butter — according to her, this combination creates the perfect balance of sweet and salty.
According to the recipe, for cooking, you will need to cut the potatoes into slices of one centimeter, throw it into boiling water and keep it there for no more than five minutes. Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place a baking sheet greased with olive oil and butter for two minutes. “Undercooked” potatoes need to be dried a little and then spread evenly on a baking sheet, rolling in the melted butter. The woman also recommended adding salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste.
Bake the potatoes for half an hour, then turn them over and keep them in the oven for another 25-30 minutes. The author of the recipe noted that the dish could be cooked longer if it does not acquire a Golden-brown color.
Hot potatoes should be drizzled with honey or maple syrup and add a little thyme. The woman stressed that this element is the main feature of the recipe.
