Republicans officially nominate Trump as a candidate for the US presidency

The Republican Party officially nominated Donald Trump for a second presidential term, the vote of the convention was held live, according to Reuters.

The head of state collected the necessary 1276 votes of delegates for the nomination.

This procedure, however, is a formality, since earlier Trump, in the absence of serious competition, won the Republican primaries and received all 2.4 thousand votes of the party congress, except for one vote.

The US presidential election will be held in November. the main rival of the current head of state will be Democrat Joe Biden.
