Redmi K40 Gaming Edition may have a simpler version with Dimensity 1100 chip

At the end of April, Xiaomi introduced the first gaming smartphone of its Redmi sub-brand, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. And now there is information about another version.

According to insider information, another model awaits us. But if the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, then its “lightweight” version should receive Dimensity 1100.

The difference between the two chipsets is hardly significant: the Dimensity 1100 does not have a single main 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 core like the Dimensity 1200. Instead, it uses a fourth large A78 core clocked at 2.6 GHz. Both are powered by a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and are based on a 6nm manufacturing process.

Thus, it will be the so-called Lite version, which will most likely be cheaper. According to an insider, the smartphone will have a “leaky” display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. Hopefully it retains a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + support, and 67W fast charging support.
