Xiaomi, as promised, has unveiled its first Redmi-branded gaming laptop in China today.
The laptop is called the Redmi G and has a 16.1-inch LCD display with FHD resolution, 178° viewing angles, refresh rates from 60 to 144 Hz, and 300 nits brightness. The novelty is powered by a 10th generation Intel Core processor. There are i5-10200H, i5-10300H, and i7-10750H chips with different minimum and maximum operating frequencies to choose from. Also, modifications differ in video cards. The base model is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, and the middle and top-end model is equipped with GeForce GTX 1650 Ti.
Redmi G also has a 720p webcam at the bottom of the screen, a backlit keyboard with 1.5mm key travel, a Hurricane Cooling 2.0 cooling system with two fans, 2W stereo speakers, and a 55Wh battery. As for memory, all three modifications received 16 GB of RAM (two 8 GB strips) DDR4 2933 MHz and a PCIe × 4 NVMe 512 GB solid-state drive. The laptop also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Gigabit port, 1×USB 2.0, 2×USB 3.0 (Gen 2), 1×USB Type-C, 1 × Mini DP 1.4, and 1×HDMI 2.0. The new product comes with the Chinese version of Windows 10 Home.
Redmi G sales start in China on August 17 with the following prices:
