Realme, as promised, held an event in China today, where it showed its new smartphone with top-end specifications and a low price tag.
The device was named Realme GT 5G. Outwardly, the novelty is no different from other smartphones on the market. Except for the version with a leather back panel. A black strip was placed on it, which resembles a “shadow” from the camera.
Realme GT 5G has a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display. It received a hole for the front camera in the left corner, FHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 100% P3 color space coverage. The panel occupies 91.7% of the entire front area.
At the heart of the Realme GT 5G is the 888th dragon. The chip is paired with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 drive, a cooling system, and a game mode. It includes peak gaming performance with improved picture quality, 4D vibration, faster loading times, and sound effects. By the way, the smartphone is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification. The Realme GT 5G is powered by a 4500 mAh battery. It is charged through the included 65 W power supply (100% in 35 minutes).
As for the cameras, there are four of them in the smartphone: one front 16 MP and a triple main one. The main sensor is a 64MP Sony IMX682. It has an aperture of f / 1.89. It is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree angle of coverage and a 2MP macro camera.
The Realme GT 5G has a dual SIM slot, NFC, GPS, USB-C, and a headphone jack. The device comes out of the box with Android 11 on board and the proprietary Realme UI shell.
The device will start selling in China on March 10, but you can pre-order the new product now with the following prices:
- Realme GT 5G 8/128 – $ 448 ($ 433 pre-order)
- Realme GT 5G 12/256 – $ 525 ($ 510 pre-order)
When the smartphone will be released on the global market is unknown.
