At the end of March, Realme introduced the Realme 8 smartphone, which disappointed many with its characteristics. In many ways, they are not only not better but also worse than the previous Realme 7. And now the company is preparing another version – Realme 8 5G.
The company’s Thai division has published a promotional video that calls the presentation date of the Realme 8 5G – April 21.
Also, the rear panel of the smartphone is shown, and here we have a surprise. There is no big inscription “Dare To Leap,” and the main camera sensor’s resolution has decreased from 64 MP (like the Realme 8) to 48 MP.
Thus, outwardly, the Realme 8 5G is more similar to the Realme 8 but the recently presented Realme V13 5G (pictured). Geekbench and FCC confirm the presence of a Dimensity 700 processor, 8GB of RAM, Android 11 OS, a 5,000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner – all present on the V13 5G.
Also, the thickness (8.5 mm) and weight (185 grams) of the Realme 8 5G are the same as those of the V13 5G. The only difference between the models is the NFC chip, which the V13 5G lacks.
If the suspicions that the Realme 8 5G is the renamed Realme V13 5G are confirmed, then the smartphone will receive a 6.5-inch FullHD + display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an 8-megapixel front camera, and support for 18W charging.
