Realme has announced the “world’s first” TV using the new SLED technology. More precisely, it is difficult to call it a full-fledged presentation, but the company representatives spoke about the very technology.
SLED is an alternative to Quantum Dot Displays (QLED). Most LED TVs, including QLED, use blue backlighting that turns white. And SLED immediately uses RGB backlighting, that is, red, green and blue LEDs. However, this is still an LCD.
As a result, Realme promises to reduce the harmful effects on the eyes and “cleaner” colors. So, the declared coverage of the NTSC space reaches 108%.
The first Realme SLED TV was a 55-inch 4K model (3840 × 2160 pixels).
No more details were disclosed about it, including the price and date of the start of sales.
