Today, the Realme brand hosted the Camera Innovation Event, which, you guessed it, was dedicated to the photography capabilities of the manufacturer’s smartphones. The protagonist is the Realme 8 Pro, which will be the company’s first model with a 108-megapixel camera.
The camera will be based on a 1/1.52-inch ISOCELL HM2 sensor with a pixel size of 0.7 microns and Super-PD autofocus. It can take photos up to 12000 × 9000 pixels and record videos up to 4K at 120fps. The claimed technology of combining from 9 to 1 pixel and 3x lossless zoom.
Also, Realme has prepared several proprietary tools to improve the quality of photos and videos. This is Starry Mode for shooting stars and space in slow motion mode, which takes 30 photos in 480 seconds and uses a time-lapse video algorithm; tilt-shift time-lapse video to capture images that simulate a miniature world, leaving parts of the image out of focus; new portrait filters including Neon Portrait, Dynamic Bokeh Portrait and AI Color Portrait.
But so far this is not a presentation of the Realme 8 Pro, but only a demonstration of its camera. By the way, the manufacturer showed its design: a square block with four sensors. Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro should debut at a later date.
