Real Madrid will be forced to sell midfielder James Rodriguez in the next two months at a reduced price, Marca reports.
James made it clear to the club that he intended to pursue a career elsewhere. Given that the Colombian contract ends in a year, the RM leadership will have to make concessions in negotiations with potential buyers.
Atletico Madrid was ready to acquire Rodriguez for € 45-50 million, but Real Madrid did not agree to part with the player. Now 13-time Champions League winners can count on the amount of about € 25 million.
Several clubs in the English Premier League, including London’s Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton and Wolverhampton, are still interested in James’s services.
