Real Madrid reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in three years

Spanish football club Real Madrid drew 0-0 against English Liverpool in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.

The first match ended with the victory of Real Madrid with a score of 3: 1. Thus, on aggregate, the team from Madrid made it to the next round.

The teams played each other for the eighth time. Previously, they met in the 2017/18 Champions League final, when Real was stronger (3: 1). Real Madrid and Liverpool drew for the first time, in previous meetings the Spanish team won four times, the English team three times.

Real Madrid reached the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since the 2017/18 season when the Madrid club became the tournament winner. In the next two Champions League rallies, Real Madrid was eliminated in the round of 16.

Real will play against English Chelsea in the semifinals, which in the quarterfinals proved to be stronger than Portuguese Porto (2: 0, 0: 1). The first semi-final matches will occur on April 27 and 28, the return ones on May 4 and 5.
